TRS Science Workshop

The TRS annual science workshop was held at Li Ka Shing Tower M1410 at PolyU on 9 November 2023. The project principal investigator Prof. Tao Wang and his team members hosted the workshop. There were about 50 attendees, including Prof. Tao Wang, co-principal investigators, project advisory committee members, students and postdocs involved. In the morning session, project members presented an overview of major research findings over the past 6 years since the beginning of the project, covering a wide range of topics including emissions, oxidative chemistry, formation of secondary air pollutants, modelling of micro- to meso-scale processes, and impacts on health and policy. In the afternoon session, Dr. Peter Louie and Dr. Liuju Zhong, two experts in air pollution control, were invited to share their thoughts on air pollution status and control strategy in the Hong Kong-Pearl River Delta region. After that, there was a poster session in M1409 where 28 posters were presented by the project members to show the most recent research progress of the TRS project. Overall, the workshop brings together different teams involved to summarize and discuss on research findings of the TRS project, which will be completed by the end of the year.
