Prof. Wang Tao introduces experimental plan

In the spring of 2009, we carried out a large field study at Mt Hengshan in Hunan province in order to understand the interactions between air pollution and cloud formation in the southern environment and the long-range transport of air pollution between northern and southern China. A comprehensive suite of instruments were deployed to the mountain site collecting data on gases, aerosols, cloudwater, and rainfall.

The study was conducted in collaboration with Shandong University, Sun Yat-sen University, Hunan Provincial Meteorological Bureau, and Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences.
